  1. The 1300 Sherbrooke St. W. Holt Renfrew store will be closing soon. Holt Renfrew merged with Ogilvy on Ste-Catherine St. W. and a 250,000 square foot 'Holt Renfrew Ogilvy' flagship store will open once COVID-19 is under control and stores can open to the public. It's a bit sad that the old Holts on Sherbrooke St. will close though the new Holt Renfrew Ogilvy will be spectacular. The old Holts involved connecting the 1937 building to an office building by building behind three historic townhomes on Sherbrooke Street that housed Hermes, Dior and Gucci boutiques. Fun fact, about a decade ago Holt Renfrew proposed expanding the Sherbrooke Street store to nearly 200,000 square feet in a huge redevelopment (that would have maintained the 1937 building) though it never happened after a leadership and strategy shift. Holts is now very upscale, similar to Neiman Marcus if not more so.
