They have a bird that looks like a partridge in the center of the plates. They remind me of an Amish motif. Do you know anything about them. Years later, I worked as a Security Operative downtown. I remember working the detail for the Gatlin Brothers and Lana Turner when they visited. There was a "city" of its own in the storage and stock areas throughout the building. You could spend days exploring the vast back areas for employees only.

My co-workers were among the finest people I ever had the opportunity to serve with. I was sorry to learn that Lazarus Downtown had closed and the company had removed the Lazarus name.Former Employee and Customerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06561991146899038661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723065623705340751.post-33851202926344678982022-01-06T10:34:27.026-05:002022-01-06T10:34:27.026-05:00AMCAMCAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00930384463970437503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723065623705340751.post-29220012202931232122021-10-16T18:13:02.518-04:002021-10-16T18:13:02.518-04:00I bought my wedding gown from the third floor brid...I bought my wedding gown from the third floor bridal department at Lazarus in 1970. It was a short-sleeved empire waist style with an Alencon lace bodice. It was from the "Teeny" Priscilla of Boston collection. The invoice lists the gown for $160.00 and the veil for $25.00! I dearly loved Lazarus. I spent hours browsing through the decorator rooms on the furniture floor and the china department. My favorite dessert was Hot Apple Pie with Cinnamon Ice Cream. It was served at a restaurant on the ground floor. I don't remember the name of the restaurant. I still make my version of the pie. It was a sad day when Lazarus closed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18329697674490360443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723065623705340751.post-13928594704121175402021-08-21T01:26:18.710-04:002021-08-21T01:26:18.710-04:00the scarf counter was always part of the jewelry c...the scarf counter was always part of the jewelry counter department at the base of the esacalatores richland mall location
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08997164106174890197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723065623705340751.post-91794000768931955092021-08-21T01:24:39.521-04:002021-08-21T01:24:39.521-04:00scarves where probally hermes scarves

Christmas paths with talking trees and just wonder! (we lived in a town north of Columbus and the entire industry shut down in the 80's, every blue collar worker...) I appreciate and respect reading the love and admiration this message board has published.
I'm asking though what am I supposed to do with this goatskin that my grandmother gave me (2011) obviously for infants. My daughter was born Spring of 2012.
I hate to continue to abuse it (it's been a reading nook and bum warmer on the outside patio for us). The question is, for any of you, should I continue to use it? Should I try to get it to someone who needs it or donate it?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08074862945049054357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723065623705340751.post-6496946514628676762021-05-11T23:41:13.652-04:002021-05-11T23:41:13.652-04:00I knew your father and worked with him at Lazarus....I knew your father and worked with him at Lazarus. Later on while in high school, I was chosen as a member of the Lazarus high school board, a selection of one girl from each high school in Columbus to have a year of basically “training for young girls”. We modeled fashions from the store, we learned how to set a table, we learned how to pick linens and make a bed correctly, Set a dining room table for dinner, we learned how to interact with people, use good manners, etc. it was amazing. I have often have to tried to find some of the members of the board but have been unsuccessful. It was a 62/63 year. I was chosen from Holy Family High School. If anyone has any info please fill me in. Our pictures used to line the halls of the six floor. I may try to find the article and put their names here to see if it would spark anyone’s memory.
